When you run the ePO PIA tool in preparation for an upgrade to a later version of ePO, it flags an issue with a pending file rename. This tool looks at the following registry key to see if anything is present: Cause
If the key has any values, it means one or more files have been flagged for a rename. The flagging of the files occurs after a system restart or reboot has been performed. Normally, this action doesn't pose a problem for the ePO upgrade. The ePO upgrade might fail if either of the following conditions is met:
Solution
Perform a system restart on the server hosting ePO. This action removes any values from the Related Information
