End of Life for McAfee Agent versions

NOTE: McAfee Agent was rebranded to Trellix Agent in version 5.7.7.

Summary

End of Life (EOL) dates for the following McAfee Agent versions have been announced.

After the EOL date, we'll no longer provide technical support for these product versions.

McAfee Agent	5.5.x	December 16, 2020
McAfee Agent	5.0.x ¹	December 17, 2019

Exception to this EOL notice applies to McAfee Agent 5.0.3 and Application Control customers who have an extended support contract. Support will continue to be provided for the following legacy platforms only:

POSReady 2009
Windows XP Embedded
Windows Embedded Point of Service

NOTE: Starting September 22, 2022, McAfee Agent 5.0.3 support will be available only to customers who've purchased an extended support contract for Application Control version 6.2. Support for McAfee Agent 5.0.3 will fully end on December 31, 2023 when Application Control ends extended support for these legacy operating systems.

Migration

EOL period—The time frame that runs from the day we announce product discontinuation, until the last date that we formally support the product. In general, after the EOL period is announced, no enhancements are made.
