Unexpected error occurs when query is exported to CSV or PDF format

Data Loss Prevention (DLP) Endpoint 11.x
ePolicy Orchestrator (ePO) 5.10.0 Update 1, 2

Problem

When you export the results of a McAfee DLP Endpoint incident query from within ePO 5.10 to a .csv or .pdf file format, you observe either of the following:

An unexpected error displays on the screen.
No results display in the exported document, even though results display as expected when the query is executed manually from within the ePO console.

You observe either of these issues after you install or upgrade ePO to any of the following:

ePO 5.10.0
ePO 5.10.0 Update 1, 2

Cause

The method that ePO 5.10 uses to handle query exports can't handle the custom database schema associated with some managed product extensions; for example, the DLP incident explained above.

Solution

If you've installed ePO 5.10 or ePO 5.10 Update 1 or 2:

NOTE: The above issue was reintroduced with the release of ePO 5.10 Update 7. For details, see KB92976 - Exported Queries and Reports is blank and missing the incident details.

This issue is resolved in ePolicy Orchestrator 5.10.0 Update 3, which is available from the Product Downloads site.
