Updated the Data Loss Prevention Endpoint for macOS Supported Platforms Article reference. |
We're committed to supporting macOS. We're working closely with Apple to make sure that our security software and hardware products are fully compatible with macOS endpoints.
To ensure release quality, all new releases that Apple publishes for macOS releases require full validation by the individual product teams. Our goal is to add same-day support for all macOS releases over time, for those products that don't currently offer this cadence.
NOTE: Late-breaking changes implemented by Apple to a release, or any unresolved compatibility issues raised by us with Apple around a scheduled release, can lead to schedule changes. We document the changes in this article.

NOTE: Any future product functionality or releases mentioned in the Knowledge Base are intended to outline our general product direction and should not be relied on, either as a commitment, or when making a purchasing decision.

If you want to continue to use High Sierra without upgrading to Mojave, you can continue to use our products in the High Sierra column. In this way, you stay protected.
NOTE: High Sierra is no longer supported by Apple. |

Based on communication from Apple about the migration of third-party applications to 64-bit, we migrated the products listed under macOS 10.14.x to 64-bit.
IMPORTANT: We recommend that customers perform the actions below:
- Upgrade products that they use in their environment to the 64-bit version before they upgrade the macOS to Mojave
- Install the 64-bit versions in High Sierra or Sierra before they upgrade to macOS Mojave
NOTES:
- We don't support the co-existence of 32-bit and 64-bit products. Migration to 64-bit applications is needed because of an operating system limitation; it can't co-exist with 32-bit legacy products. During the migration, there's an impact to local user interface capabilities for some of the 32-bit legacy products. Details are outlined below.
- When you migrate ENSM from 10.5.0 to 10.5.5, the following legacy versions of the products don't have any local interface capabilities until they're migrated to the 64-bit version:
- ePolicy Orchestrator (ePO) manageability continues for these legacy products. When these products are migrated to their 64-bit versions, the local interface capabilities are restored.

Minimum supported versions are the versions available at the time of the macOS release. For clarification on what later versions support this operating system, see the Supported Platforms articles. |

Based on earlier communication from Apple about notarization of third-party applications, we're notarizing the products listed under macOS 10.15.x.
IMPORTANT: We recommend that customers upgrade the products that they use in their environment to the notarized version before they upgrade the macOS to Catalina.
NOTES:
- We don't support the co-existence of notarized and non-notarized products.
- When you migrate ENSM from 10.5.5 (and later) to 10.6.5, the legacy versions of the following products don't have any local interface capabilities until they're migrated to the notarized version:

For details about ePolicy Orchestrator - SaaS support and feature support, see KB93661 - macOS Big Sur 11.0.x compatibility and FAQs with our products.
Starting with ENSM 10.7.5, ENSM supports Apple Endpoint Security APIs and Network Extension. ENSM doesn't use kernel extensions.
IMPORTANT: Before you update macOS to Big Sur, we recommend that you upgrade the products in your environment to the versions that support Big Sur except SCP.
NOTE: We don't support the co-existence of products that use system extensions and products that use kernel extensions. If the previous versions of the following products that use kernel extensions are detected during installation, they aren't started. To restore functionality, deploy a compatible version of these products that supports Big Sur.
