NOTES:
NOTE: Endpoint Security (ENS), and not EUA, removes SiteAdvisor Enterprise and installs ENS Web Control.
EUA doesn't execute if the following requirements aren't met:
IMPORTANT: When using third-party deployment software, the EUA package requires System account privilege.
Upgrade Automation uses the MFESysprep executable to grant trust to any known third-party injectors that it finds on the endpoint. In EUA 1.6.0, Upgrade Automation stops the ENS migration if an unknown injector is found. This action is a conservative approach because most injectors don't cause a problem. The MFESysprep process now handles the main injectors that cause a problem.
EUA 2.0 and later ignore any unknown third-party injectors that are discovered on the endpoint. EUA continues with the migration to ENS. If you want to retain the EUA 1.6.0 functionality, you need to supply the--exitondllinjector command-line option.
NOTE: EUA packages the latest available version ofMFESysprep at build time. If a newer version is made available to handle third-party injectors found in a customer's environment, a new build of EUA isn't needed. For ePO deployments, you must check in the latest MFESysprep executable to the same branch that EUA is deployed from. This MFESysprep executable is downloaded and executed. For non-ePO deployments, the EUA Package Creator allows you to select a newer MFESysprep executable. The new executable is then executed when the EUA package is deployed.
