ProblemThe ENS console fails to open even though the product has successfully installed. No error displays, and it appears nothing happened.
CauseA third-party DLL is inserting its code into one or more ENS processes, which causes a trust validation check to fail. So, the ENS console is not able to open.
SolutionTrust the third-party code that is injecting into ENS processes. This procedure is explained in the "Allow certificate authentication" section of the Endpoint Security 10.7 Product Guide.
WorkaroundIf the built-in software mechanics that identify and trust the third party do not identify the third-party certificate, work with Technical Support.
We have encountered third-party software that causes our built-in mechanism that identifies and trusts third-party code to fail. For these environments, more steps are needed and Technical Support or Engineering must perform those steps. To contact Technical Support, go to the Create a Service Request page and log on to the ServicePortal.
