Endpoint Security (ENS) Threat Prevention 10.x
ProblemCustom on-demand scan (ODS) tasks don't update in Endpoint Security Threat Prevention Product Properties on the ePolicy Orchestrator System Details page. Only the default policy-defined ODS tasks update the Date of Last Full Scan and Date of Last Quick Scan.
In the
McAfee Agent extracts this information to populate the Product Properties for ENS Threat Prevention.
SolutionThe functionality is working as intended.
The Full Scan or Quick Scan default tasks are the intended mechanism to determine ODS compliance. The capability to return the last runtime was never intended for custom ODS tasks. So, the back-end infrastructure of the product doesn't support it either, which means the functionality can't be added without a rewrite of core product components. If you need this capability, go to the Ideas forum and explain the use cases where the default tasks are inadequate solutions. WorkaroundUse the default policy-defined ODS tasks and modify the ENS Threat Prevention ODS policy to fit the needs of your environment.
