To remove ENS products from client systems that ePO Cloud manages:
- Log on to ePO Cloud.
- Create a group and name the group.
- Move all systems for which you want to uninstall ENS products into the new uninstall group.
- Create an uninstall product deployment task:
- Select Menu, Software, Product Deployment.
- Create a product deployment task and name the task Uninstall.
- Leave the Description field blank.
- Select the managed products to be uninstalled from the following list of products:
- ENS Firewall
- ENS Threat Prevention
- ENS Web Control
- ENS Platform
- McAfee Agent
- Select Action, Uninstall. The uninstall product deployment task is pushed to the systems during the next policy enforcement interval. The default policy enforcement interval is 60 minutes.
- To monitor the status, select Menu, Product Deployment, Uninstall. Here, you can see the successful deployment of this task, with the name of the systems. When all systems are green, only McAfee Agent is running on the systems.
- Delete the uninstall group:
- Select Menu, System, System Tree, and select the group to be deleted.
- Click System Tree Actions, Delete Group.
- Select Remove McAfee Agent on next agent-server communication from all systems and then click OK.
If you manually removed ENS products from
Control Panel,
Programs and Features or
Apps & features (depending on your version of Windows), perform the following steps. These steps delete systems from the System Tree and remove McAfee Agent:
- Log on to ePO Cloud.
- Select Menu, Systems, System Tree and then select the group with the systems you want to delete.
- Select the systems from the list and then click System Tree Actions, Delete Group.
- Select Remove McAfee Agent on next agent-server communication from all systems, and then click OK.
- On the local system, go to the McAfee Agent notification area icon, and then select McAfee Agent Status Monitor.
- Click Check New Policies. You see the status as McAfee Agent Service is now stopped.
- Wait for the agent to disappear, and then restart the system one time. McAfee Agent is now uninstalled.
