For details of FRP supported environments, see KB81149 - Supported platforms for File and Removable Media Protection. ProblemAfter you authenticate to the FRP-managed device, folders and files are no longer transferred.
This issue occurs when you copy lots of data from an FRP-secured USB device NOTE: You can successfully copy the same files to the same system when FRP doesn't manage the USB device. When this issue occurs, you see the following:
CauseThe
Engineering Assessment: The issue is related to copying lots of files and folders simultaneously to a target with limited resources. When a copy operation from the USB device using the offsite application is initiated, the application first retrieves information for all files and folders that have been selected for the copy operation. This process is recursive, and consumes a large amount of memory. The local system has enough memory available to hold this information. But, there can be scenarios wherein the allocated memory on the client is insufficient. This insufficiency causes the application to crash, and the copy operation fails. SolutionThis support statement is provided by the Product Management Team. The FRP product management team discussed the issue with FRP engineering team. Because of the complexity involved, the resolution to the issue outlined above can be achieved only with significant architectural changes. Given the nature of the changes that might need to be implemented, an immediate resolution to this issue isn't available. We remain committed to continue to research potential solutions and changes needed to address this issue as part of a future roadmap release. In the interim, we recommend that customers use the workaround included below as a short-term resolution. WorkaroundOn systems with limited resources (memory or swap file), perform either of the following actions:
