1. Download the current version of DebugDiag from the Microsoft Download Center.
   
   NOTE: Choose the version to DebugDiag for your installation: 
    

   • DebugDiagx64.msi (for x64 environments)
   • DebugDiagx86.msi (for x86 environments)
2. To install the application, run the .MSI file that you downloaded.
3. Click Start, Programs, Debug Diagnostics Tool.
4. Select Crash and click Next.
5. In the Select Target Type dialog, select A specific process, and click Next.
6. In the Select Target dialog, select the name of the process to monitor, and click Next.
7. Keep the default settings and click Next.
8. Make a note of the Userdump Location and click Next. (The Userdump Location is where the dump file is created.)
9. Select Activate the rule now and click Finish. If a failure occurs, it's captured and saved to the specified folder.
10. Go to the folder configured for saving dump files and zip the dump file that was created. 

Dr. Watson (used as the default debugger)

1. Configure Dr. Watson as the default debugger:
   1. Click Start, Run, type drwtsn32.exe -i, and click OK. 
   2. Click OK. The confirmation window closes.
       
2. Configure Dr. Watson settings:
   1. Click Start, Run, type drwtsn32.exe, and click OK.
   2. Make a note of the paths for the following:
      • Log File Path
      • Crash Dump
   3. Verify that the following options are selected and click OK:
      • Dump All Thread Contents
      • Append to Exist Log File
      • Visual Notification
      • Create Crash Dump File
3. Click Start, Run, type regedit, and click OK.
4. Locate the following registry key:
   
   [HKLM\SOFTWARE\Microsoft\Windows NT\CurrentVersion\AeDebug]
    
5. In the right pane, make sure that the value for Auto is set to 1. If it's not set, right-click Auto, select Modify, and change the Value data to 1.
6. Click Registry, Exit.
7. Reproduce the issue.

After the debugger captures information, navigate to the path for the dump file and zip the user.dmp file that's created.
